You know, I've worked hard to do just that, so thank you. I hate first person (I can read it occasionally, but really dislike it), but I am a stickler for only one POV at a time (I don't really care for omniscient third person), so as I was developing my style, it became important to me to have 'voice' within that style.
It's taken me a long time to make it work, and it's not always perfect, but it's my signature now. :D
I'm so excited to see that you wrote an Arrow fic. This is exactly what I'd like to see next season. Oliver has this kid that he doesn't know about but that he deserves to know exists. Felicity is so freaking smart and I can imagine her being the one to discover this other huge secret about Oliver. She won't keep this from him and she'll be there for comfort if he needs it. I really hope you write more Olicity, you are such an amazing writer and I love seeing your perspective of them.
It's funny, because ever since the episode where this was revealed, and Ollie's reaction to the "miscarriage" (which, A++++ acting from Amell, he's just a lovely, lovely man), I've been dying to see his reaction to learning the baby is still alive. And then the idea of Felicity telling him? It just seemed so perfect.
I hope I have many more prompts like this one that just make a whole idea pop. So fun!
This is so lovely! I love your Felicity voice and how you turned the prompt around. Felicity couldn't be the type of person Moria was, she wasn't capable of it, not when she had seen the impact of it and what it had done to Oliver before. And I loved how she sees her relationship with Oliver here. So perfect. And the ending where they're just quiet.
Felicity is so specific, and has such a fun sense of humor, it seemed perfect to break my Arrow fanfic cherry with her. I usually go for male voices, especially first, but she's a hoot!
Thanks for commenting, I'm glad the irony of the prompt really connected for you, too. I loved it, it was so perfect!

I love this especially:
She can't even convince herself that her dislike of Moira extends to morality, because the truth is, she would go to her grave to protect Oliver, too.
