30 Days of OTP: Day Twenty-One, OTP That You Always Forget To Talk About

So there's a couple reasons I forget about this show and this couple: it's on HBO, and for the first and second seasons I was able to go over to my sister's house and watch it (it's a pay channel that I don't have), but it's only on for 10 episodes in the summer. So, even though my love for the show is very strong, it's not on enough to keep my enthusiasm up all the time. The other reason is that they already announced it's canceled even though S3 hasn't even aired yet. FOR REALS. The show will start airing in June or July, but the network has already said it's not renewed for S4. HOW CAN THEY DO THAT WITHOUT EVEN SEEING S3'S NUMBERS? SO ANNOYING.
But since I always forget, I'm gonna pontificate for a moment.
Anywho....Sloan and Don. Don and Sloan. They were the surprise!ship for me, because through most of S1 I absolutely HATED Don. I thought he was a total tool, and it was only on rewatch that I started to get him. And once you get him -- once you see that Don is HOT, you can't go back. It's the Logan Echolls Syndrome. Also in S1, I was predictably shipping Jim and Maggie, the earnest and sweet foil ship to Don and Sloan's TOTAL AWESOMENESS SHIP. I mean, I saw Sloan's awesomeness long before I saw Don's (probably because Sloan is ACTUALLY WHO MAKES DON AWESOME), but I just didn't get them. But to fully understand, you would just need to watch episode 1x07. AMAZING.
Then, in S2, Don buys this book with Sloan's autograph (that's not really her authograph, long story, watch the last two episodes of the season to understand). When she figures out who purchased the book, this is what happens:
