30 Days of OTP: Day Nineteen, OTP That You Grew To Love
James Ford & Juliet Burke, LOST
So the biggest problem with these two characters were that they were my absolute favorites on the show, but I shipped them both very hard with other characters [please see Best Kissers OTP and Not Necessarily Romantic OTP], so when they got put together and a lot of their development happened off-camera, I was very resistant to the idea. But because I loved both characters so much, and their relationship proved to be very good for both of them, they eventually grew on me, and by the end of LOST I was a sobbing mess when they were reunited (see below). When you sit back and think about them, James and Juliet make sense, but you have to do a lot of the mental work on it, because the show didn't -- and that's probably something they would have fixed if they could, but alas.
