What, you didn't like Sofia? *gasp* she was like the Jane opposite and I still don't get the decision there with her. I agree they dropped the ball on so much potential. As good as this series was in the first few seasons and given the solid friendships I made I still don't like giving less than glowing reviews, but this show needed a LOT of fic by the end just to keep us happy in our heads. I always admire how fans can so enthusiastically ship the non or anti ship, and you did a great job of it Candy! :)
It got canceled after S4, so it had time to wrap everything up, it's just that S3 and S4 are SHIT! Don't watch them, just let it end before the last five minutes of 2x22; that's where it should have ended.
I wrote tons of fic for tons of pairings for this show, initially it was because I loved it so and it inspired me. My first ship was Lincoln/Veronica, and the summer between S1 and S2, I wrote all this backstory for them, because they had history and it was fun to explore, and then in 2x01, they KILLED VERONICA and totally gutted me. If only that was the worst thing they ever did to me, though...anyway, after that I started writing Lincoln with Sara (even though Sara was paired with his brother Michael on the show) because I just needed him to have a better story. It was a great time of creativity for me, but it was also a long time ago (2006-2008) so it's all really old.
