[Uh, that's right, we were shooting some of our usual leg erotica.]

[+] Does anyone really hate Dick? I mean, he's the most lovable asshole of all time, really and truly. Plus, Ryan Hansen can walk around with his wetsuit hanging down on his hips any time for me. Back dimples FTW. Also, someone pointed out that Dick's crack about having a 2-15 card (for medicinal marijuana) was a clever throwback to remembering what a difficult time he was having in S3, post his brother going crazy and all. It's interesting to think of all of Dick's bluster is just a cover for his hurt. But, if you think Dick's just not that deep, it could be that, too. ;-)

[+] More than anything, I've missed Rob Thomas' dialogue. Everything Veronica says, everything Logan says...everything EVERYONE says! But yeah, Logan's lines are such perfection because of Jason Dohring's delivery. Love him so much. And his face the entire time the skeazy lawyer's going on about what a great guy he is...just, guh.

[+] Logan and Veronica in Logan's kitchen. He's trying to act like he cares about the whole lawyer thing they just went through, but all he's thinking about is that she's leaving the next day. *SWOON*

[+] Ruby Jetson. Gabby Hoffman is ACES in this role. #perfection

[+] When Logan is talking about how he was basically Carrie's Sponsor for the last year of her life, I was struck anew by Logan's capacity to love. Both he and Veronica love like crazy--they give it away, though of the two of them, he's always been the more "all in" of the two of them. I really love that about them, though; I never doubted they had genuine feelings for other people--they weren't users by any stretch of the imagination. But still, they are never going to love anyone like they love each other, and they aren't going to be well-matched. There will always be an imbalance. Allowing them to be separate for nine years and grow up those last little bits independent of each other set them up so perfectly to come back to each other. Just, GUH.

[+] I really love that the allure of her "old" life is strong, especially in direct conjunction with Logan's fate, but on the other hand, I really, really like that she has spent so long away from it. She has lived the other life; she was willing to embrace the other life, until destiny came calling. Rob Thomas said this film is about Veronica embracing her destiny, and I particularly love how real it feels as she pulls out her "accessories" box. Taser and pepper spray, a girl's two best buddies.

[+] Keith's determination that his daughter will have a better life elsewhere, that the life he leads is somehow not good enough for her is such a beautiful dichotomy, as well as one of the huge hurdles, that Veronica has to overcome. Our parents don't always know what's best for us, even when their hearts are totally in the right place.

[+] Then this happens:

AND I DIED.

Logan repeating back to her the words about this is all she should wear? Just, THE BEST. And then Veronica foreshadows the TRUCKER HAT CAM, which I did not catch until the second third viewing. Also, Logan's new car is sweet, but I'll always miss the Xterra ;-)

Be back tomorrow!

logan/veronica, things that excite me in a ridonk manner, they made a movie y'all they really did, they, veronica mars
