Happy Easter!
I know for the most part this LJ seems dedicated to the worship of Ian Somerhalder (a god among men, no doubt), but I thought I'd take a moment to witness for Christ on this Easter Sunday.
I am a Christian, and I took His name upon me when I was 9 years old. I was given the gift of faith, and have never wavered from that belief, though my actions have probably not always supported it completely. I'm a work in progress. Luckily, that's Jesus' specialty. I know He lived and suffered and died for me, and I know He lives again, and because of His sacrifice, all mankind shall live again. To me, this is the fuel of my life, knowing this and doing my best to abide by that knowledge, but beyond that I'm thankful to know that He loves me, individually, and that his pain and suffering not only redeem me from my mistakes, but help me overcome others' mistakes that affect my life through my no fault of my own. His grace is sufficient, it truly is. I am grateful to know that that by following Him, my life is more peaceful, manageable, and useful to other people, and I'm most especially grateful to know that because of Him, I will be able to reunited with all my loved ones some day.
