This is... surprisingly not creepy? Completely not what I expected, but you're right, I like it a lot :).

I like how... mechanical the sex is. Elena is angry, and she's clearly not doing it for fun, she's doing it to make a point, she's using Damon to make a point. And he lets her, because his relationship with his own body is just that twisted. Ugh.

Whoa, spot-on. It's awesome how you twist the stereotypical romantic conclusion into something deeply unsettling.

I love how you make this story about them-people, not them-couple. Their suffering is not about not being able to be together, they're not so determined to fight about themselves as a couple. But they're determined to fight for who they are, to fight for not having everything they do questioned, for the independence of their minds.

I liked that the sex wasn't the tender part this time. In contrast with what we saw on the show, this wasn't that, but it was still something important, especially to Elena. But the tender stuff all came through the conversation, sweet and real and true, whether or not Damon really believes it or not. Poor bb.

Wonderful writing as usual and I for one think you wrote it very true to both characters.

Yeah I don't get why this bothers people, the whole sire bond thing is just for good drama, DE is all about angst, it's one of the reason I feel in love with them, they're tragic, yet beautiful

I love that they are best friends, too! I mean, that's really how they suckered me into this ship. Obviously they have mad chemistry, but they've always "understood" each other and that's the thing that just gets me in my feels. And I agree, as long as they have each other, they will be okay.

But, damn, they are so hot together. It's unreal. They are everything, sweet, hot, fluffy, angsty, PERFECTION. The OTP of all OTPs!

I don´t like the sire bond for more reason than one - which I won´t bother you with. But I have to say I will gladly deal with my negative feelings concerning that story line on tv - just for this one shot itself, just because it gave us a chance to read it. If they used the sire bond this way, for this kind of angst, to bring them closer and make them stronger as a couple, I´d be a happy fan. The one shot is heartbreakingly beautiful, I lost it somewhere in the beginning, crying. THANK YOU for sharing this and all your other fics.

I really hope (and think) that's the angle they're going on the show. Damon and Elena have already been through so much together, but they haven't ever been together-together while they were dealing with stuff. I hope that's what we're going to see.
