I didn't even have to enable you to write this one, you did it all to yourself ;). And, in the process, you gave me my fix of pathetic!Damon exactly the way I like him <333. It's nice touch that you have him seduce Elena the way he seduces the women he abuses; it makes everything creepy and twisted and sad.

Ugh, I love the imagery of them hitting random piano keys during sex. Just, love. I had it in my piano fic, and I didn't get rid of it ever since.

I did read your piano fic ages ago, but then I had to go check it when I was writing "Universal" to see whose POV it was from, because I couldn't remember, and I somehow thought that was important to what I was writing? Sometimes the path your mind takes when ficcing makes no sense, I know. Anyway, but then I just got caught up in the idea of her watching his hands, and him not really understanding just how drawn to him she is. I loved the idea that he thinks and feels like this is just temporary, that it can't be anything more, because that's the way everything in his life has been. So, he uses one of his *tactics* to reduce it somehow in his head, only it makes it more and worse, of course, because he's Damon.

Also, Marta, I think I have a kink now for Damon NOT coming. What even?????

I'm very happy to have inspired :D. I absolutely love the concept of watching a musician's (or writer's, or any other artist's) hands. Who am I kidding? I have a hand fetish, and I generally LOVE stories in which someone is staring at someone else's hands.

Well, as you know, I almost always want to make him come early, but I knew that wouldn't work in this fic because I already wrote that scene from Elena's POV, and he had been trembling and needy, but not ahead of himself...so as I got further into it, and his angst was so high, it suddenly hit me that he wouldn't be able to let go in the moment, because he's just so in his head this time, not getting carried away by sensation or anything. So, he couldn't come, until she coaxed it out of him a little...and then it was just so GUH. Like, oh, no, what's better than Damon coming early? Damon not being able to come! WHAT IS WRONG WITH ME??
