Ha, I know, so sad! But it just came together as I was writing it, and I thought it would fit right in with the other "happier" piece, so I was glad to tie them together.

This is a lovely prequel, bb and ties in with Hold Me Here beautifully. Once again, your portrait of Damon (& Elena) exactly matches what's in my head. In his mind, she will never love him the same way he loves her, but he still has this insatiable need that she love him enough. Our poor, damaged Damon ... How is Elena ever going to convince him that she does love him that much? How long will it take for her to be able to express that once she figures it out inside herself??? AAaarrrgghhh ... the angst.

Anyhow, this piece was lovely and entertaining and diverting (as usual). I have this great, deep need for them to figure this out and just get together, already!!!!

Yes, I presume it will take much longer for them to get to a good place than I take in these little ficlets, but that's just because I'm impatient and want them together and happy ASAP!
