Okay, look. I'm a Prison Break fangirl through and through. I've loved that show in a decidedly unhealthy way since I first discovered it in early 2006. I've written 112 PB related stories, some of which have been many, many, many chapters (and yes one or two may still be unfinished), and I have become friends with many of you because of the fic you wrote that I found to be either wonderful, in character, an extension of the show, or all of the above. But the one thing PB has never given me in full is an OTP I could just go nuts-zoid for. That hasn't been a hindrance, as I just made up my own (Linc/Sara) and also had tons of fun with other ships of equal caliber (Linc paired with just about lady makes me giddy in some way, and strangely Michael/Veronica floated my boat quite nicely).
The point of this bla, bla, you ask?
I found the fic of
lowriseflare a few weeks ago. She doesn't write PB fic, she writes ER fic; specifically Ray/Neela ER fic, and I suddenly know how all the M/S fans of PB must feel every time they read one of the plethora of fics out there about their favorite couple that is really well done because every piece
lowriseflare writes steals my breath, or makes me cry, or dammit, makes me wish I had half her ability when it comes to writing these two characters. Some of you have already suffered through me badgering you to read her fic, but SERIOUSLY, YOU WILL NOT REGRET IT. You will wonder, like me, how you lived this long without these fics in your life. You will wonder how it is possible to feel like you're getting bonus episodes of ER. You will wonder how in the world you can hear Shane West and Parminder Nagra's voices in your head as if they were reading the fics to you like an audiobook.
They are that good.
I'm that excited and amazed by these stories that I cannot stop talking about them. It is imperative that if you ever liked the pairing of Ray/Neela that you read them. YOUR LIFE CANNOT BE COMPLETE UNTIL YOU DO. (and you should leave her comments telling her just how amazing they are.)
Okay, that's it. I will stop now with my obsessive fangirling. I've read a lot of fanfic through the years, much of it yours who are reading these words right now, and I've loved a lot of your stories and prose, but I think this is the first time since I first discovered there was such a thing as fanfic back in 2000 that I've felt this crazily passionate about someone's work. So just go read it. Make me shut the heck up!
