Memoirs of a Fangirl

Aug 13, 2008 14:27

So one year ago today, I was with a few other of my kind, and we drove all over Joliet, Illinois in search of Prison Break moments. The next day (August 14th, 2007) we walked all over Chicago. [Special shout out to *my kind*: pamalax (the organizer extraordinaire), sierra_foxx (the far and distant traveler), happywriter06 (who manages to still be about the cutest person I've ever seen up close in real life), spoiled_andrea (who brought us chocolate, and can never be forgotten because of it), chanchito_z (who is the very definition of a fangirl, having endured her cancer walk weekend only to follow it up with traipsing so patiently all over the place with us), and last, but not least, miss_mazzie (who only got to play for part of the first day, but provided the much needed map). There is always the special mention of Pam's kids and Andrea's mom, who came along though admittedly weren't as enthusiastic as the rest of us. But then, who could have been? *g*]

I'd say it is one of my top ten moments ever, hence the remembrance of the occasion. What's funnier is I went back through my journal entries where I documented the trip ( Joliet and Chicago) but then I discovered I never posted any pictures. What the heck is up with that?

So anyway. There are pics under the cut. Some are mine, some belong to pamalax, chanchito_z and miss_mazzie. You should recognize a lot of it if you've watched S1 of Prison Break multiple times...

This is where Nick and Vee stop after her apartment explodes:

This is where Kellerman thinks he's going to capture LJ getting off the bus. We ate lunch here. It was so fun!

This is the outdoor cafe where Nick and Vee discuss Lincoln's case:

(This is the river Michael threw his hard drive into!)

This is the pub where Michael and Veronica met up in Brother's Keeper (or as chanchito_z and I like to call it: The Horny Pub).

And Millenium Park:

Such fun! Such good times. I'm so planning on going back to Chicago when I can spend several days there, not just one day. It's a gorgeous city.

Thank you, again, to all my mates who made that trip so great. I'll love you all forever!
