1. What was the first band you saw in concert?
I don't go to concerts, at least not with any popular music. I tend to be sensitive about the soundlevels I assault my ears with, since I have a mother and a brother with tinnitus thanks to prolonged exposure to high decibels. So this one would be not applicable.
Does playing on stage count? :)
2. Who is your favorite artist/band now?
*chuckle* this is another question you do not ask a music major/musician. Simply too many to list, I would have to type half an essay.
Currently: No Doubt (up to Tragic Kingdom, the rest is crap :P), Depeche Mode (up to Songs of Faith and Devotion), Kanno Yoko, Jo Hisaishi (those two are not bands, per se, but rather composers (as any avid anime fan would insist)) Frank Bolero and Bill Yard and The Tiny Loop Constructors Syndicate (woo, plug brother time! Go!)
3. What's your favorite song?
*grin* You can see the answer looming already, can't you? Yep, music major. Yep, too many to list.
Nevertheless, here are a few
Winter - Tori Amos
Moonchild - King Crimson
In the court of the Crimson King - King Crimson
Cowboy Bebop OST - Kanno Yoko
Tonari no Totoro OST - Jo Hisaishi
Cutmans Theme OC Remix - McVaffe
Zebesian Midnight OC Remix - Vigilante
Death on the Snowfield OC Remix - AmIEvil
Hour Follows Hour - Ani Difranco
Socker - Kent
4. If you could play any instrument, what would it be?
First off, I can play a few instruments, so it's kinda moot, but I'll tick off a one I would want to be able to play. Kazoo.
5. If you could meet any musical icon (past or present), who would it be and why?
The first neanderthal who beat a rock upon another rock, and lo, it was groovy.
