It is amazing to me, and mind-boggling to the n-th degree, that light from so early in the life of our universe is just now reaching us. And it's not the fact that light from 13 billion years ago is reaching us that hurts my brain, it's the fact that we are 13 billion light years away from where those objects were when they first emmited that light. That shit is waaaaaaay the hell out there. Waaaaaaay out there. From a waaaaaaay long time ago.
It's all pretty fucked up. :) I wish I could talk more about it, but I'm still trying to comprehend the implications of this. It's nuts, yo.
