"No! You're..."
The audience tenses, expectantly -- Yukiko's the one who starts a warning, too late to make any difference: "Yumi, wait...!"
"You're not me!"
Silence follows. White light covers the stage -- then snuffs out of existence, plunging them into darkness. Before they can panic, or even react, a single spotlight pierces through, illuminating the giggling shadow. Her elegant gown billows outward, forming ever-expanding waves; dark energy crackles and sparks around her -- lightning arcs across her fingertips, and he makes a mental note to keep Teddie and Yosuke back.
While the shadow's gown tears and reforms into writhing, misshapen arms, bent at surreal angles and complimented with too-long fingers grasping the air, he keeps watch on Yumi. Watches her eyes roll upward, watches her collapse, still bound but apparently uninjured. At least none of her ropes are attached to the cords snaking round her doppleganger's waist.
Not that they look all that similar anymore. Which makes this easier in so many ways.
Beneath a mask of golden butterfly wings, the shadow's mouth splits in a blood-lipped, toothy sneer. That would be their cue.

Ahaha, I did Ayane in the first cycle and I just started the second cycle. e.e This really makes me want the drama club to hurry up and open already.
