KANJI FAILS AT EVERYTHING

It was obvious to everyone that Kanji liked Souji, but they all were merciful to turn a blind eye and act oblivious to Kanji's quick glances at Leader or the way he reddened whenever Souji was close to him. Souji knew all to well about Kanji's feelings but was happy to know that Kanji felt so strongly about him. In fact, Souji was pretty sure he was developing feelings for the clumsy but rugged first year; Kanji's true self was very kind and just yearned for acceptance and Souji was sure he could fill that need. So he had been the first to make the move. Of course, when Souji confessed to Kanji, the younger boy stuttered crazily, denying that he had any feelings for his Senpai.

"Wha--! What the hell are you talkin' about, man!? I ain't gay or anything! I-I mean, that's just crazy! Y-yer insane...!" The understanding Souji just stared him down until Kanji decided it was no use.

"It's fine, Kanji. I like you for who you are."

"R-really?" Flabbergasted, Kanji just stared at his pointed boots, almost positive a streak of red danced on his nose boldly while his mind was in a haze. Souji just smiled and placed his hands on the taller boys shoulders in a kind and affectionate way.

"A-ah!" Kanji immediately jumped at the contact Souji established, but did not flinch away. Instead, he quickly leaned down to give Souji a chaste but meaningful kiss. It would have been really cute... if Kanji hadn't practically beaned Souji's face in his haste. His wide forehead smashed into Souji's nose and the other boy stumbled backwards as his nose bled fountains.

Kanji was instantly hurrying forward to catch Kanji, but only treaded heavily on the other's feet. Souji grunted in more pain and tripped over himself, landing in a heap on the rooftop with pain etched onto his face "Shit! I'm sorry!"

"Dude, what happened to your face?" Yosuke looked surprised at the image of Souji sporting a bruised nose with a bloody tissue shoved up into one of his nostrils. Everyone looked expectantly at him and Kanji, whom he was leaning on for support, and realized what had happened. Poor clumsy Kanji. But the poor oaf made up for it on their way to the electronics section in Junes. He pulled Souji behind and kissed his forehead with a mumbled apology. Souji chuckled with bemusement.

"It's okay. That was a memorable first kiss for me too." <3
