“Oh, I see now. Scoring is like when Mama-Hana-san and Papa-Hana-san go to their room for some alone time…” piped up Teddie.
“TEDDIE! We do not need to hear that!” exclaimed Yosuke, as he sprang suddenly from his hiding place and grabbed Teddie in one swift motion. He slapped his hand across Teddie’s mouth and glared at him, “this is one of the things we don’t talk about. EVER. Remember?” he shot an apologetic look at Souji and turned back to Teddie, and added in a furious undertone, “Especially when Nanako is around!”
“Oooooooooo….” Teddie was enlightened. He sparkled unapologetically at Yosuke, “Like those magazines with the hot clotheless chicks that you…”
“SHUT UP! DUMBAA-I mean - bear…” Yosuke clamped his hand tightly over Teddie’s mouth again and shot a second apologetic look at Souji. It was perhaps fortunate that he was so furious with Teddie and his uncontrollable tongue otherwise he would probably have noticed that whilst Nanako was staring at him with wonder writ right across her face Souji’s whole attention was devoted to marvelling at his long legs, admiring how stroke-ably smooth they looked. Yosuke turned back to Teddie and whispered something in his ear. It was obviously unpleasant for the boy looked abashed for almost ten seconds.
“Yosuke-nii…you look like a…a Rise…” sighed Nanako, after a long pause. That got Yosuke’s attention. He shot upright and turned his puzzled (or was that incredulous) gaze on to her.
“I told you, you looked pretty, Yosuke!” giggled Teddie, wiggling away from his loosened grasp. “Don’t you think so, Sensei?”
Souji gulped and dragged his eyes away from Yosuke’s legs and slowly followed the line of the fitted dress up to Yosuke’s neck and finally his face. He couldn’t quite meet his eyes.
“Don’t bring h-him into this!” stammered Yosuke, his cheeks flaring bright red again.
Souji met his eyes and smiled. “He looks hot.” Yosuke’s eyes widened at this pronouncement and he turned away, groaning. It was probably for the best. Yosuke could read Souji pretty well, even when he was trying to disguise his emotions, and he wouldn’t have missed the look that flashed up on Souji’s face then. He really hadn’t meant to say that. Sure he’d thought it…but to think it aloud. This wasn’t good.
The deep, throbbing kind of warmth in the pit of his stomach told him otherwise but Souji chose to ignore that for now. Instead he allowed his eyes to return to their scrutiny of his friend’s back. Really, of all the times to be turned on, this was probably the worst, he decided, as his eyes quite of their own accord wandered back down his friend’s body and came to rest on his ass and he felt his own cheeks redden.
He realised Nanako was talking again and he made a heroic effort to focus his attention on her instead.
“…you did, Teddie-chan? Oh, I’m so glad you like it!”
“Uh-huh. Nana-chan’s present is the best!”
Souji looked from one to the other and then back at Yosuke. Perhaps that wasn’t such a great idea. Yosuke had possibly decided to make the best of a bad situation and was reaching up to a high shelf, pulling down some glasses for drinks and his dress was riding higher and higher up his thighs.
“So…um…w-what do you want, P-Partner?” he asked.
’You!’ Souji’s mind prompted immediately, but he was able to quell this thought before it left his mouth. “Water is fine, thank you.” Well that was better, his voice sounded almost normal then.
“Big-bro?” Nanako was watching him, frowning slightly. “Are you okay? Your face is all red.”
“I’m fine, Nana-chan.” He replied, smiling at her. He saw Yosuke stiffen out of the corner of his eye. “I was just wondering why Yosuke was dressed as a girl today?”
“Please, p-please don’t ask that!” Stammered Yosuke, almost dropping the glass he was handing to Souji.
“Fine, I won’t ask. But that’ll only make me more curious you know.” Souji raised an eyebrow at his friend (not that he would see given that most of Souji’s forehead was hidden by his haircut but he knew Yosuke would get the idea). Finally his inner equilibrium was kicking back in, seeing his friend so off kilter was helping him recover somewhat.
Yosuke blushed and then glared at him. “S-shut up!”

“It’s alright, Nanako. We’re just teasing.” said Souji, smiling.
“Um…okay…” she nodded, and suddenly smiled back, “Oh…I see, were Teddie and Yosuke-nii playing?”
Yosuke met Souji’s eyes very briefly and clearly understood the message he was conveying. It was good they understood each other so effortlessly. Although Souji wasn’t entirely sure if it would be a good thing if Yosuke could read precisely what he was thinking at that moment - his friend had a history of freaking out over things thought were even remotely gay. Somehow Souji could picture Yosuke discovering that his best friend had suddenly developed an acute desire to jump him would go right to the top of the list of ‘things that Yosuke finds way too weird to be discussed in normal conversation’. Not even Kanji’s confused sexuality would be able to top that little secret for weirdness in Yosuke’s eyes.
Fortunately it seemed that his stern glare was doing much to disguise any hints of attraction he was displaying. Yosuke had turned to Nanako with a bright smile plastered to his face. His cheeks were still pink but he said in a convincing tone, “Yeah, we were p-playing…playing… um…” it was then that he looked to Teddie and threw him a ‘help me!’ look.
“House!” supplied Teddie, nobly coming to his rescue. “Nana-chan told me about this game where you pretend to be a mummy and daddy and have a house together.”
“And you were ‘Mom’, were you, Yosuke?” Souji couldn’t help but ask.
“D-Dude…just don’t!” stammered Yosuke, trying to look angry but not really managing to get the emotion quite right. He looked more sheepish than anything.
“And here I was thinking you needed help with your homework.” mourned Souji.
“Who told you- Oh my GO-” No doubt mindful of Nanako’s eyes on him, Yosuke clamped his mouth shut before uttering the entirety of this blasphemy and contented himself with glaring at Teddie. “When did you call him? More importantly why?”
“It doesn’t matter now, does it?” Said Souji, soothingly. “I’m always happy to help you with your homework but if you’d rather play games, then I’m sure Nanako and I would like to be included in the fun.”
He didn’t mean to emphasise the word fun or to look Yosuke directly in the eye when he said it but somehow he managed it anyway. Yosuke’s eyes widened and he gulped. A fresh wave of colour flashed across his cheeks and he turned away quickly.
“Oh, yes. Please can we play with you, Yosuke-nii?” Nanako unwittingly came to his rescue. Yosuke rolled his eyes towards her, ran a hand through his hair (snagging one of the extensions as he did) and bit his lip. Souji knew Yosuke’s weaknesses pretty well. Big puppy-dog eyes staring up at him were one of them. That was probably why Teddie managed to freeload so thoroughly off him. Even if he was in drag and mortified beyond all comprehension, there was no way he would refuse.
And he didn’t.
After an uncomfortable pause, where he had stood perfectly still, gazing down at Nanako, probably wondering how the hell he could get out of this without upsetting a fragile little girl who had only recently been discharged from hospital, thus pissing off both his best friend and said little girl’s rather terrifying police detective father, and then he sighed.
“Y-yeah, of course Nanako, you can play with us. N-no problem, right! What would you like to play?”
“I like playing house, Yosuke-nii.” Nanako was positively beaming at him now, which Souji reckoned was probably a reward in itself for Yosuke, “and it’ll be even more fun with Big-bro here.”
Souji sudddenly didn’t like the sound of where this was going.
“Um…Big-bro can be the daddy, Yosuke-nii can be the mummy and we will be the children, Teddie.” decided Nananko.
“Ooooh, Nana-chan. That is a bear-illiant idea!”
“Um…I don’t think that’s…” Began Souji, cautiously. Instantly two pairs of large eyes were turned on him, one pair brown and one pair blue; both were accompanied by pathetic smiles. Souji realised he had the same weakness as Yosuke did. He conceded defeat.
For the second time that day the house was filled with the sound of Yosuke’s forehead thudding against a nice hard surface.

Both Nanako and Teddie, being equally clueless as to the role of parents, or more specifically the role of a mother, had decided that Yosuke was to act in a manner that was a cross between Mrs Hanamura (who Souji knew to be an over-protective, dotingly affectionate kind of woman) and an earth mother.
Either way, they had Yosuke running around, playing games, carrying and cuddling them at random (Souji found this particularly amusing when Teddie demanded to be lifted) and generally being their slave. From his observation point in the garden, Souji could watch and laugh as much as he liked without fear of reprisal. The only looks Yosuke shot his way were ones pleading for help which Souji had no intention of responding to.
It was far too interesting watching Yosuke run around the kitchen wearing that dress.
Being in the garden also gave Souji plenty of time to appreciate that dress and the makeover in general. Teddie really could work magic, he decided. It wasn’t that he’d never caught himself thinking about Yosuke in that way before, because he had on a few occasions, and it wasn’t like he’d never seen Yosuke in a dress either. It was just that this particular dress seemed designed to fit so perfectly that it only emphasised Yosuke’s best attributes. Like his long legs and toned ass. And Souji’s body had taken a decided liking towards them.
Souji took a deep breath as his eyes rested on that particular vision as it dashed about the kitchen reluctantly chasing Teddie. The warm tingle that he had felt since first seeing Yosuke that day had settled happily in the pit of his stomach. He was confident he had it under control for now but still...he was beginning to wish the weather was a little colder.
“Hey Big-bro…?” Nanako was waving at him from the kitchen doorway.
“Call him Daddy- san!” interrupted Teddie.
“Um…but I…” Nanako floundered on this suggestion and cast a helpless look at him.
“Okay, now you’re going too far, Ted.” Came Yosuke’s voice. “Geez, how many times do I have to tell you: We are not calling anyone anything but their given names, OKAY?”
“Fine.” Pouted Teddie, then he brightened up again. Souji began to think he was as bad as Yosuke for mood swings (or was that the other way around?). "Sensei, your working day is done. Time to come home!” Souji nodded and carefully placed his marker in his book and sauntered back to the kitchen. “Yay, Daddy-san’s home!” announced Teddie, casting a mischievous look at Yosuke.
“Welcome back…um…” It seemed Nanako hadn’t decided what to call him, even if they were playing so she made do with casting a brilliant smile in his direction. Souji smiled back and dutifully removed his shoes and was about to greet his ‘offspring’ when he noticed that Teddie was pouting at Yosuke again.
“Yosukeee, you’ve got to at least say ‘hello’.” stormed Teddie.
“Ugh…fine…” Yosuke rolled his eyes and reluctantly turned to face Souji. “Hello.”
“Yosuke!” Teddie slapped his arm and then prodded him, “Remem-bear what we are playing! Sensei is your loving husband, returning from a hard day at the office.” He sighed and clasped his hands to his chest. “Sensei has been longing for this moment all day: when he can cross the threshold from the cruel world outside and into the loving arms of his bear-utiful wife, and adora-bear-al children. And all you can do is snarl at him and say ‘hello’.”
“I’ve had a bad day too.” snapped Yosuke.
“B-but you said you like playing with us, Yosuke-nii.” Pointed out Nanako, turning her wide-eyed gaze on him. “Were you lying? My Daddy says that only bad people tell lies and that he’ll punish any he finds.”
Yosuke gulped and took a step back from the pair of them, almost knocking into Souji as he did. “Okay, okay f-fine! Whatever. I’m playin already! Y-yay, I’m having f-fun! S-stupid game.” He swung around to face Souji, plastered his best ‘Junes’ smile on his face and in a sugary, falsetto voice said, “Welcome back, darling!”

“W-WHAT? NO FU-um-FLIPPING WAY!” Yosuke almost screamed.
“But Yosukeeeeee, Mama-Hana-san always smooches Papa-Hana-san when he gets back from work.”
Yosuke glared at him and was about to retaliate (possibly with physical violence, given the furious look on his face) when he seemed to falter. Souji was just about to question why when he saw Yosuke’s gaze drop to Nanako. She looked pretty shaken by his outburst and was cringing towards Souji’s legs. He flushed suddenly and dropped to his knees and rested his hands on her shoulders. “H-hey, I’m sorry, Nana-chan. I didn’t mean to shout.”
It was when he looked up at Souji, from his position knelt on the floor, that the ball of warmth that Souji had been trying so hard to keep under control decided it was time it took over and started to slide lower.
Of all the times to get aroused, this was really bad! He blessed his stars that he was wearing a long T-shirt over his jeans and that his companions were too distracted with their argument to notice the embarrassing bulge in his pants.
“Tell him, Senseeeeeiii. Yosuke-nii’s not playing along. He’s spoiling the game!” moaned Teddie, suddenly rounding on him.
“I am playing!” argued Yosuke, jumping back to his feet and whipping around to confront Teddie once again.
“No you’re not! If you were playing you would smooch Sensei!”
“I can’t ‘s-smooch’ Souji. That’s just wrong!”
“But Yosukeeeeee…” whined Teddie, his eyes were filling up with alarmingly large tears. Nanko clung closer to Souji and watched them nervously.
“Oh god, don’t you start crying too!” groaned Yosuke, “C’mon, Partner! Back me u-up here! Me kissing you w-would be seriously weird, right?”
“Not at all.” Souji hoped he wasn’t smirking as broadly on the outside as he was internally. That would have really weirded Yosuke out. He aimed for a reassuring tone and hoped that none of his enthusiasm for the idea would come through in his voice, “We’re only playing, Dude.”
Yosuke’s eyes widened and his whole body seemed to go red as he met Souji’s eyes. He bit his lip and turned to Teddie who promptly bawled even louder. His friend winced and closed his eyes, “Geez, way to make me f-feel bad, Stupid Bear. Look fine. I’ll do it but nobody can ever know about this. Okay? J-just stop crying…please?”
“O-ookay, Yosuke.” Teddie made a show of wiping his eyes and then fixed his intent gaze on him. Souji wondered if it had ever crossed Yosuke’s mind to question whether Teddie’s dramatic displays of emotion were ever genuine. His amazingly quick recovery from deep despair would certainly raise questions over their authenticity were anyone else to see them. Yosuke could be pretty blind sometimes, thought Souji, smiling. Teddie was sparkling again and he prodded Yosuke’s side, ordering “Well go on then. Smoooooooch!”
“Jerk.” Muttered Yosuke and turned to Souji. His cheeks were bright red still and his hands were shaking as he rested them on Souji’s shoulders. He stepped in closer and peeped up at him for a fleeting moment. Up close Souji decided the makeover was even better. The dress had slid off one shoulder, exposing a smooth expanse of his long neck and his hair fell in soft flicks around his ears in a way that could only be described as cute. Of its own accord one of Souji’s hands rested against his waist. He was surprised by how hot Yosuke’s skin was.
Gulping and squeezing his eyes shut Yosuke suddenly lurched forward and planted a surprisingly tender kiss on the corner of Souji’s mouth.
The pure heat of that slight contact was enough to ignite whatever it was that had been lurking in Souji’s system. The heat burned through his cheeks in an instant and then plummeted through his body, trailing across his skin like a fire sinking into the base of his stomach, throbbing and jittering all the way.
Yosuke gasped as he stepped back and he raised his eyes to Souji’s. The look in their brown depths was unreadable but strangely familiar. His lips were parted slightly. It hadn’t taken more than a second, and Teddie had barely started his complaint of “Yosukeee! That was not a smooooch!” when Souji found himself jerking Yosuke back into his arms, one hand tangling into his hair as their lips crashed together.

“Woohooo! Go Sensei!”
Teddie’s excited voice dragged Souji altogether too quickly back into the real world.
He released Yosuke immediately. Yosuke had his eyes closed and was standing perfectly still. His face was very pale. Souji watched and waited for the inevitable explosion. He wasn’t sorry to have kissed him but still…it would have been nice to have some semblance off control over the situation. Now Yosuke would be cagier about their relationship than ever and it would take precious weeks to fix.
“Big-bro, are you and Yosuke-nii in love?” asked Nanako, a little doubtfully. Shit, he’d forgotten about Nanako in the heat of the moment. Of course she would equate kissing to fairytales of romance. And no doubt she would tell Uncle Dojima about the day’s adventures. Now that could prove to be a little awkward…
Apparently Yosuke thought so too. His eyes snapped open and he stared at her, his face the very image of mortification and a very real dread haunting his eyes. The next instant Yosuke had turned on his heels and fled. The house rang with the sound of his bedroom door slamming.
and that's part 2 done and done. I promise smut in the final part!! Re-catcha = leader likelier...to do what I wonder...??? XP
