"Oh... really? Well... it's quite a process."
"Process?" Rise slid off his lap. "What do you do?"
"Well, first I make sure I always keep it trimmed - I visit a salon every other week."
Salon?
"And I make sure to wash my hair every other day. I use Pantene Smooth & Sleek shampoo. I wash once. Rinse. Then I wash it again, the second time with Matrix Smoothing Shampoo. After that, I condition it with Nexxus Hydra Sleek Conditioner. Now, when I rinse the final time, I make sure to use freezing water."
"Freezing?"
"It has to be freezing - helps stop frizz. Then, I use a hair dryer and make sure I blow dry downward."
This was getting to be... too much information. She didn't need to know this.
"I also use a flat iron, and make sure to put John Frieda Frizz Ease on my hair every day."
Did Souji just... fluff his hair? No. He didn't. He didn't.
"The most important thing is the weekly hair mask."
"... Hair mask? Like... you sleep with a bowl over your head Senpai?"
"Don't be ridiculous!" Souji said, shaking his head. His hair, of course, didn't move. "I do this every Sunday! What you do is mix one egg, yolk and white, a good sized dollap of mayo and about 3 oz. olive oil in a bowl. Of course..." He seemed to think for a second, "If you did it you'd probably need more solution. Anyways - you take the mixture and put it over your hair. Massage it in good. Then, you wrap your head up with a towel and just leave it for... about a half hour. I'd recommend doing this in your room. When the half hour's up, I go through my normal hair washing routine."
"Am I being punked?"
"Punked?" Souji looked confused.
This didn't just happen.
"So... do you want more help with your homework? Or maybe do you want to finish making out?"
"N-no. That's okay Souji-Senpai. I... I think I'm good." Rise stood up quickly, and started backing out of his room, waving her hands frantically in front of her.
"Don't you need your book?"

I have an idea for one of these with Yosuke, which will probably be written sometime tomorrow or Thursday. Rise will discover what's playing through his headphones.
Anyone have a prompt for a Teddie or Dojima secret talent for Rise to investigate?

She was still a bit shaken.
It was understandable, of course. Considering what she'd learned about Souji-Senpai and his hair care habits.
Oddly enough, the other girls didn't believe her. Until she played the recording, that is.
She may not be school-smart, like Yukiko, but she was pretty street smart. Not beat-the-shit-out-of-suspicious-people-street-smart like Kanji, who she was talking to again by the way, but the regular street smart.
She'd just told Souji-Senpai going in that she wanted to record their session, so if she needed help later on, she could just listen to his incredibly soothing and sensual voice again.
The only one who wasn't phased by the information was Yukiko. She claimed she liked a man who took care of herself. Kanji'd said he expected that kind of behavior from Souji-Senpai.
Oh - she'd invited Kanji into their little, informal investigative circle. See, there'd been this new wave of paparazzi that came to town, and she really liked having a big, tough, deliquent shadow when photographers came around. He'd agreed to pardon her previous, favorite shirt ripping offense upon admittance into the circle of trust.
He really was a nice little addition to their gossip-group. His mother apparently was always chatting with the other Shopping District ladies, so he brought a whole new level o insight to the group.
He was actually the one who suggested the next target - one Yosuke Hanamura. Risette superfan. This was going to be so easy.
Well, he unintentionally suggested it. If she remembered right, it was something like, "What I wanna know is, what the hell's Yosuke-Senpai listening to all th' time?"
So here she was, at Junes, looking for Yosuke. The way she saw it, she had two good options available. One was to just be precocious and snatch his headphones with a chipper, "I wanna hear!". She'd also brought her earbud headphones with her, ready to remove his and quickly plug in hers in an attempt to be stealthy.
As it turned out, devil-Risette had offered another, more entertaining, alternative.
See - Yosuke was on break. Just sitting alone, in Junes' food court. Headphones on. Head down. Looking at some... magazine or something Who knows what.
She crept up behind Yosuke, studying him. No sudden movements. Don't call attention to yourself.
She crouched down on the ground. Judging by where the headphone cord lead, the mp3 player should be...
There.
In Yosuke's front pocket.
Where no woman had gone before.
Deep breaths.
You can do it. Just... imagine he's a relative. A dying brother. Who has a bomb in his pocket that can only be defused by reaching her hand in and deactivating the device.
...
Somehow... that didn't make it better.
Rise took a deep breath. She could face her shadow. She faced death on a regular basis. She was a star dammit!
She reached her hand in.
Good. It's right there. And there's the volume dial...
"Huh?" Yosuke adjusted his headphones, and tapped it with his left hand.
Other way!
"...THE BEATS WILL GIVE YOU A SIGN! LET THE MUSIC FREE UP YOUR MIND! HEY YOU, OVER THERE, DON'T WANT TO HEAR THE REASONS CUZ I DON'T CARE! SEE ME, BELIEVE IN YOU, GOTTA HELP YOURSELF TO WHAT YOU'RE GONNA DO..."
"AAAH!" Yosuke yanked the headphones forcefully off his head, removing them from the mp3 player. "What the hell, dude?" He looked around, to see Rise behind him, perplexed, "Rise-chan? What's wrong with you?"

"You listen to the Spice Girls?" Rise's face contorted into something resembling horror, disgust and shock.
"I-I can explain" Yosuke tried to get up quickly, tripping over the chair and falling on his butt. He quickly recovered. "It's not Spice Girls. Okay, it's a Spice Girl, but..."
How could one of her fans listen to the Spice Girls?
"...Yosuke-Senpai..."
"It was in a Pokemon movie! That's why! Ilikedthemovieandendedupputtingthethemeonmymp3player! Oh God, you're going to tell everyone, aren't you? Please! Please don't Rise. I have so little already!"
She almost felt sorry for him.
"Pokemon isn't much better."
"Don't tell everyone." Yosuke was bowing before her now. Practically kowtowing.
"There are things that you have to do."
Yosuke face-faulted, and it looked like his spirit had just left him.
"Really?"
"Yup!"
She didn't mean for it to sound that cheerful. Course, this was pretty funny. Kinda made up for the horrifying secret behind Souji-Senpai's hair.
Yosuke sighed. "Just... please don't tell Kanji. After all the gay jokes I make about him... if he heard about this... I'd totally never live it down."
"You can trust me!" Rise said cheerfully, trying to inject a little bit of sparkle.
Later that night, Yosuke logged onto his email to see that brave_little_tailor@gmail.com had sent him a song from iTunes.
"Weird," he thought, as he opened the email. When he saw the message, he vowed to totally boycott Risette's next album.
"Greetings junes_guitar_hero@gmail.com -
Your friend Kanji has sent you the following track:
Geri Halliwell, "It's Raining Men."
Enjoy!"

I have no idea of that iTunes notification is accurate or not - I don't use it. :P
