Teddie sported the shirt that Nanako had borrowed from him, but he'd refused to button more than a few buttons. That left most of his chest exposed, despite the fact that his ensemble also contained one of Dojima's old ties. Tiny black marker dots covered the lower half of Teddie's face - was that supposed to be beard stubble? - and he'd rolled up a piece of tissue to represent the cigarette that stuck awkwardly from his mouth.
"Good evening, daughter!" he announced, sweeping Nanako up into a playful hug. "Good evening, wife!" He presented his cheek to Kanji, who dutifully leaned in for a peck. And just as Souji had suspected, Teddie turned at the last second and planted a wet smack directly on Kanji's lips. Nanako had been busy throwing the extra blanket over Souji's desk to create a makeshift dinner table, so she didn't have the faintest idea why Kanji was sputtering or her big brother was sobbing with laughter.
"What?" she questioned innocently.
"Nothing, sweetheart, time for dinner," Kanji replied in his normal grumble.
Teddie turned to face Souji and flashed him a wink and a flirty grin. "And good evening to you, too, Sensei."
"Hi, Teddie."
"Yay! Let's all have dinner now!" Nanako merrily ordered her playmates. Kanji followed her to the desk-slash-table, but Teddie stayed where he was and spun in a slow circle.
"Sooo, what do you think of the outfit, baby?" he teased, waggling his eyebrows. "Suits me, huh? Like it, Sensei?"
"Dude. Come on. Seriously?" Kanji's voice sounded oddly insulted. "I'm right here. You're gonna flirt with him while I'm right here?"
"Awww, Kanji, I didn't know our kiss meant that much to you."
"Kisses," Souji reminded. "There've been two now."
"I'm just sayin'!" Kanji defended. "We're supposed to be married, right? How do you think it'd make me really feel if you came home and started hitting on someone else right in front of me? That's just shi- crappy."
Even Nanako looked a little surprised. "Um, it's just for pretend, remember?"
