Second Time's The Charm (3/3) anonymous February 15 2009, 09:19:21 UTC
His desire was overflowing, drowning out his cowardice, his doubt. He started walking forward again, reached out his arms to rest his palms on the filing cabinet, one on each side of her head. She hadn't expected this, tried to get away at the last second, but was trapped. "You're so beautiful, Hazu-cha-- no, I'm sorry, Kobayashi-san." He leaned his face closer to hers, and he could feel her breath on his skin. "I didn't know they let such beautiful women work for the police department, until I met you." He licked his lips, and the fear in her eyes only made him want her more. "It's a liability."

She tried to scream, but he smothered her mouth with his, and her voice was lost down his throat. There was nothing even resembling tenderness or love in it, only the built-up lust of the past few months, all bundled together in one kiss. She tried to struggle at first, her leg threatening to come up and knee him, but he was faster; he pressed his body hard against hers and moved one of his hands to clamp down hard on her shoulder, pinning her to the filing cabinet. She recognized that her struggling was useless then (such a smart girl but not smart enough to--), and she stood stock-still, eyes squeezed shut, waiting. When Adachi shoved his tongue into her mouth, she tried to bite down on it, but he only found her attempts at violence to be unbearably enticing.

One of the many weaknesses of humankind was their reliance on oxygen. Adachi eventually ran out of air (too soon far too soon could kiss a girl like her forever even if she--), and as soon as he pulled his mouth just slightly away from hers, she let out an ear-piercing scream, so loud that he staggered backwards slightly, releasing his hand from her shoulder. She ran then, nearly tripping over her high heels in her haste to escape, and he spun around and reached out a hand to try and grab hold of her clothes, her hair, anything just to keep her there with him. "Hazu-chan!" he howled out, his voice no longer sounding like his own.

And back in the here and now, Adachi suddenly became aware that he was pressing himself against Dojima's back, his erection hard against the other man's leg; he was sweating as well, and his head was pounding as though his heart had decided to switch places with his brain. He bit down on the loose fabric of Dojima's t-shirt, trying to suppress the aroused moan that threatened to escape from his lips, but gently, so he wouldn't disturb his partner as he slept. Maybe it would have been easier if he had woken the older man up, just so that he could find some release, any release, but he knew deep down that it wasn't what he wanted. Wasn't what he needed, not now, not this time (can't stand it can't take it I need to--).

It certainly wasn't the first time that Dojima had woken up to find Adachi gone. He figured it was just for the pretense.

Oh, authornon. Are you me, or are you just psychic?

This paints such an amazing picture of Adachi's mentality when it comes to these women for whom he develops such an infatuation. Your Adachi is really not an evil person, and that falls very much in line with how I've seen him up to this point: it's not that he doesn't try to reach out to other people and form social bonds, it's just that he... really sucks at it. I especially love seeing the gradual progression of his fantasies as they turn from lusty to angry and violent as his desires are frustrated--like he's been denied something that he was entitled to, which I suspect given Adachi's various ugly attitudes about women he might really believe. |D

I would've been very interested to hear about where Dojima fits in the whole picture for Adachi. I've always been curious to know if or where the way he relates to Dojima shares common ground with the way he relates to these women. Is Dojima very different for him? I think so, personally, but then what's the appeal? Haha, I think too much about these things.

In any case, anon applauds this! ♥

This comment made my day, OP. I'm so glad you enjoyed it.

Personally I feel that Adachi's relationship with Dojima is twofold. On the one hand, he feels that becoming close to his partner in a physical sense provides a good cover and keeps Dojima from suspecting him in the case. He sees Dojima as emotionally vulnerable and takes advantage of it. But what grows out of that is a personal attachment that he's never been able to attain with a woman (Mayumi, Saki, the woman in my story, probably many others), if that makes sense.

Adachi's such a fun character to explore, so I was really grateful for your prompt. ♥

word, but I would consider a dude like him to be evil. (I'm a lady, so my thinking on this is colored by that.)

STILL, this bit is EXACTLY what I had in mind, too! He's a freakin' sicko, and yet the sickness is morbidly attractive. I find Adachi getting off to his own rape fantasy hot... and I thank you for writing it. ;)

Ahaha, well... I guess it is a little evil, in a sense, but I guess I saw him less as a total demon and more as a sick individual who's been poisoned by certain societal attitudes. |D I don't think that excuses his behavior, mind you, but it makes it less aimlessly sinister to me.

...but I always wanted to read this, too. ♥ I had something very similar in mind, but I'm glad you filled it first! It's totally brills, and really hot and I also like reading the evolution of Adachi's fantasies. He is one sick cookie. XD

Thank you for filling!
