Shujin is a manga fan. A huge manga fan. He wants to write it, and as such, he reads a lot of it. He reads the trendy stuff, he reads the obscure stuff, he reads the old-school stuff...he reads just about everything. Chances are, if he sees your character out and about and recognizes him or her, he'll react. In a major, spaztastic way. Particularly

CANON: Excel Saga (Koshi Rikdo, yo!)
TIMELINE: Some time during volume 15 of the manga, not long after winding up on a desert island with a the crazed priest guy from Berserk (I'm not even making this shit up). She's been here a year now, so she's homesick something terrible.
Any other notes/things you want him to specifically avoid mentioning?: As long as she's been here? I almost don't think I'd care if you screwed her cover over bigtime. But for the sake of her mental health, I guess you can avoid telling the world that she's part of a secret organization with the intention of conquering it. OR, better yet, you can blackmail her with it. Like, making her wear funny outfits. :3 Or not, your call. I'm just mildly sadistic, and it's probably the only reason I've managed to keep her as active as I have.
CHARACTER: Haruko Haruhara
CANON: FLCL anime, though there was a wonderful 2-volume manga with spectacular artwork.
TIMELINE: End of the anime, an undefined amount of time afterward.
Any other notes/things you want him to specifically avoid mentioning?: Haruko's tendency to be aware of her own fourth wall or her fair amount of knowledge about media in general (anime/manga/music/etc) will probably allow her to just play off of anything you can throw at her, but don't go overboard. She usually only does stuff like that for comedic effect when the people she's talking to won't understand what the hell she's saying. So... I dunno, you can know who she is, that she's an alien, that she's crazy, whatever, Haruko's pretty apathetic about it all unless you get overzealous and high-and-mighty about her like Commander Amarao does.
