Think about it. If you go into a dangerous situation and you have no means to take care of yourself, that's just stupid. If you CAN, then you could call it being fearless.

Oh, but you can look at it in an opposite light, too. If you go into a dangerous situation knowing that a) you're unarmed and defenseless and b) nobody is around to save you, yet you choose to soldier on anyway...that's fearless and incredibly stupid, yes.
