((Narrative, backdated to right after AU week))

The previous week had been one hell of a time. Surge couldn't even remember what happened. All he knew was that he had turned into someone else. Someone who had never been to the school before. Someone... not him.

He didn't know who he had become. Only that this person felt... evil. Not "I'm going to take over the world" or "destroy everything" evil. He definitely would have remembered such exaggerated, over the top emotions. No, he could barely recall that his usual personality didn't seem to change that much. As if the person was simply another version of himself. All he could remember was a vague memory of determination to accomplish some goal. What that aim was, Surge couldn't even attempt to predict.

Apparently he had encountered Goose as well. Or whoever Goose was at that time. Surge didn't find out about that until afterwards when the pilot told him. The lieutenant couldn't tell which was worse: that he blanked out for almost an entire week or that he supposedly hadn't remembered who Goose was.

Surge was somewhat grateful he couldn't remember. It seemed as if he didn't do anything too suspicious or outrageous. Other people would have told him if he had. No, his main concerns were with Goose. The pilot remembered, he had turned into the one thing he hated most. The lieutenant was glad that things were over and that everyone, especially Goose, was back to normal.

A cautious voice in the back of his mind wondered when the next crazy event at the school would happen. Surge couldn't answer. All he knew was that right now, Goose was in a state of shock and needed comfort. Whether that was a sign to show him that Surge was there or to let the pilot take a break from the school, the lieutenant would support Goose no matter his decision.
