Concrit: Hit me~
Personality:
His best traits are his patience, moderation, temperance, reflection and specially his diplomacy; but at the same time he’s money-grubbing, sarcastic and competitive. Though generally a kind person, Tatsumi is very stern and old fashioned, especially when it comes to his passion: money. He will do ANYTHING to save a penny or avoid wasting things, and often gets angry at Tsuzuki for causing expensive damages (like the poor library that gets destroyed twice) and spending too much money on food.
Tatsumi really cares for Tsuzuki and although he sometimes appears harsh to Tsuzuki, he really means the best for him. In fact, in the 5 book it's explained that Tatsumi only cares for his happiness and seeks to do all he can to protect Tsuzuki. Tatsumi's bad bout of self-loathing is also revealed, and the truth is that he attempts to keep Tsuzuki away to avoid hurting Tsuzuki because he think that when they’re together they can just hurt each other. That’s why he often tells Hisoka that he’s the better partner for Tsuzuki.
Tsuzuki reminds Tatsumi of his well-born mother, who constantly grieved despite Tatsumi's attempts to take care of her. If there’s something he can’t handle is Tsuzuki crying, and that’s why from time to time he don’t know how to treat him.
Abilities:
• As a Shinigmai Tatsumi dont’ age, can regenerate himself, sense creature whith special powers and pretty much kick your ass.
• Tatsumi is known as a Kagetsu, or a
Shadow Master: he can manipulate shadows to do his bidding, and they can inflict insanely serious damage. Tatsumi is one of only two people in the series that has injured Muraki to any extent, and that’s a very hard feat to do. He also stopped Tsuzuki from killing himself using Tôda-one of the Shikigamis- that was supposed to be deathly even for a shinigami.
• In order to control the shadows properly he can’t have any Shikigami (An spiritual god) at his service.
• Shinigamis are immortal but Tatsumi explained that if all the cells of their bodies are destroyed they can’t regenerate and they die.
• Humans can’t see the Shinigami when they’re on his spiritual form.
• Tatsumi can also pilot helicopters and likes cooking. ♥
Places, names and stuff:
• Shinigami - God of Death. Because those who work in the EnmaCho's Shokan Division are often called upon to kill people, they are called this by both living and dead people. All Shinigamis learn some sort of magic, usually Fuda, and most seem to have some other supernatural power as well. All of them have the ability to fly (usually) and regeneration.
• Shikigami - These are mythical and spiritual deities that can be summoned by those that they have agreed to serve. Most Shinigamis can only summon two or three at best. Tsuzuki can summon twelve. The SHikigami have human (more or less) apparence when they are on their world, GenSouKai.
• The GenSouKai is the world whre the Shinikami live, the GenSouKai and the outer world are separated by a giant door. To make sure humans don't cross over. The four gates to the GenSouKai are Genbu, SohRyu Suzaku and Byakko. Each gate has a keeper, people who have the power to open the gates. They're people with different color left and right eyes. The GenSouKai exists in the computer network. Like a mirage, it always moves. Only the keepers know the proper coordinates to connect with the gate
• Cho - In Yami no Matsuei, a cho is one of the districts that Japan is divided into to handle the court cases of the deceased.
• EnmaCho - This is one of ten government bureaus that form JuOhCho. This bureau's Shokan Division answers only to EnmaDaiOh-sama and are hence the highest ranking employees in the Meifu. EnmaCho is also unique in that it exists within another Cho (one of the court districts) and it handles all of the cases in Tokyo in addition to the special cases of other Chos.
• EnmaDaiOh - Head of JuChoOh.
• JuOhCho - This is a government type organization that runs the admission, cataloging, and sorting of dead souls. Theoretically, each country has their own one of these to deal with their own dead.
• Fuda - These are rectangular paper "charms" that are cast as parts of spells that can form shields, break shields, create illusions, banish evil influence, etc.
• Kiseki - This is a list of the people who are supposed to die and it is by this that the dead are admitted into Meifu. People who are on the list but haven't died are often the cases handed over to the Shinigamis.
• Meifu - Land of the Dead.
• Shokan - This part of EnmaCho deals with summoning the dead to appear at court. Other translation of this word is subpoena.
