I grew up in the very North of Canada. The Northwest Territories and the Yukon are some of the most harsh and unforgiving places on the planet, and at the same time, the most beautiful. Most things I miss about Canada have to do with those two.

But there's something to be said of Chicago, as well. The ease of a launderette around the corner, take-out food... friends. If not understanding, at least acceptance.
