Confirmation

Well, it's official. I'm Catholic. No lightning striking or anything, lol.

The mass was really beautiful, lots of flowers and candles. My sister Jenn came, as well as my aunt, my grandma, my uncle, and my parents. I don't think my dad noticed my tattoo so that's good. The bishop was there, weird. I've never met a bishop before. He was really nice though, and when I got up there my sponsor is supposed to say my confirmation name (usually a name of a saint you wish to emulate) and I chose Joan of Arc because I'm such a feminist, and the bishop was like you're the first Joan out of 200 people! I was like okay, lol.

Richie was there sponsoring his little brother, and that was fun to see him again. I also saw Sandy, but I don't think she recognized me. Her hair is totally the same, she looked great . I also saw Brittany Torterette (can't spell, lol), she didn't see me though, and it took me a bit to make sure it was her, so I didn't want to say hi.

All in all a great night. And apparently you get presents for this! Erin gave me a beautiful bracelet made of wood with a bunch of different saints on it, a journal, a confirmation prayer card, and a rosary blessed by Pope Benedict (which goes great with the one I have blessed by Pope John Paul that I bought at the Vatican). My mom bought me a bracelet that has crosses and says 'Faith' on it. She also got me a beautiful statue of an angel. My aunt gave me a cross made with rubies, and it is so pretty.

Good times. Tomorrow I work 6-Close (only shift this week ), and now the only thing I have to look forward to is Hannah's awesome party. I'll be needing directions to C-Bus sometime, btw.

P.S. I feel the need to mention what a biatch my other sister, Ann, was. Mom told her the date of my confirmation a month ago, and yesterday Jenn asked her if she was going, and Ann says: "I was neither invited nor do I know when it is". I told her when it was and said of course you're invited! She said, and I quote: "Too late of notice, if you cared you would have told me sooner".

Biatch. All I gotta say about that. It's not that I care if she goes, it's her attitude about it. And, it's her week off, so she can't use her work-a-holicness as an excuse. Humph.
