It's just too easy to pass up. Dana slips into his room, and kisses Leo firmly on the cheek.

Leo would love to say she didn't startle him, and even managed not to jump ten feet in the air as a pair of warm lips hit his cheek. When he finally sees the culprit he grins.

"Merry Christmas," Dana offers cheerfully. "Looks like you were into your work here."

His grin grows as he finally spots her now protruding belly. "You to Dana, yeah I'm almost done with it." It's a magnificent piece of work, made from the finest of woods with the symbol of the gods carved deep into the bottom half of the instrument.

She takes a step closer to she can get a look at it. "Wow," she inhales, deeply impressed. "You're good with your hands."

His dimples are out for all the world to see now, even as he ignores the dirty comments that spring to mind at her compliment.

Dana doesn't notice him smirking. Engrossed in the instrument, she almost doesn't notice the sleeping basilisk. Taking a step back, she hits the desk, the circles so Leo is between her and creature.

"You have a--"

Leo is confused for a minute, before he spots the dozing creature next to his bed.
"Yeah, I should a' warned you, but he's pretty harmless." He hopes that the fact that Jr. is currently snuggling with a large teddy bear helps prove his statement.

Dana nods but keeps her distance. "A big version of that nearly took my arm off," she says nervously. "I didn't know they could be-" What? Tamed? Domesticated?

"He doesn't bite you?"

"He's not tame, jsut doesn't attack unless he thinks your a threat." Leo shakes his head at the question, "Naw thinks I'm the Alpha."

"Okay," she takes a step back. "I would very much like to not be a thread." Thankfully, he doesn't smell like his mother. Or the Alpha, or whatever it was that tried to kill her. Maybe being in it's territory made her a threat, but she's not inclined to be generous at the moment.

"I'll let you get back to your work."

Leo puts a hand on her shoulder as he stands. "You wanna grab some lunch with me? I thin Will has some leftovers in the fridge." He's tempted to play her something if she agrees.

"He has Chinese," she says quietly, relieved they're leaving. "I ate the pizza last night. Lunch would be nice."

Grabbing a few cabbage leaves out of his desk Leo tosses them into Jr's. bowl in case the young monster gets hungry, and puts an hand on Dana's elbow.

Dana lets him guide her out of the room and she relaxes noticeably once she's in the hallway. "How do you like the Christmas decorations?" she asks lightly, trying to change the subject.

Leo nods with a slight shrug as they head to the kitchen. "You could probably see this place from space."
