Puttin' It Behind Us from beautiesnbeasts

I fell asleep somewhere between B whining about everything being her fault and somewhere after we discussed our plans for the next day. I slept good over at Giles'. I needed to sleep. I was up all day and almost all night. Who could blame me for falling asleep?

B was blaming herself for what happened to Cor and Willow, and I had to let her know not to blame herself. It happens. We deal, put it behind us, and move on. There's nothing we can do about it. Willow's dead and Cor's a vampire. Giles and Oz want to try and get Willow back with some spell, but I can't see them trying to get that past B. We have a plan and we gotta do what we gotta do. Find Angelus and Cor. Kill them. Simple. We'll kill Spike, if he's in on it. B seems like she's all about it, but I'm sure it's hurting her deep down.

In the morning, I was the first to wake up. It was early and I wanted to get everything started. It's a new day and now was the time to be focused. We all had a long day ahead of us, and an even longer night. I gotta go and get Xander, then go back to the high school, so we can meet up with B and Giles. I figured I'd handle getting Xander, since B didn't feel like she could get him after what happened last night. Hard to believe all of this shit with Cordy happened last night. Finding Willow dead was the night before. It seems like we've been at this forever. This has to end. B and Giles were just waking up, as I was heading out the door. "Gonna get Xander. We'll meet you back at the school in a bit. See ya," I said walking out and shutting the door behind me.

My headphones were blasting as I walked toward Xander's house. His house was up ahead. When I was getting closer, I saw somebody on the ground, under a tree in front of Xander's house. I got closer and the person was in a sleeping bag. The face was covered. I looked around to see if anyone was outside. I knelt down and pulled moved the sleeping bag out of his face. It was Xander. I looked up at his house with a confused face. What the hell was he doing sleeping out here?

I smacked Xander on the head. He didn't move. I smacked him again, this time, harder. "Yo, Xan wake up." Xander jumped up after the second hit. The sleeping bag was moved out of the way and I noticed he was only in his boxers. A little impressive bod he had underneath the dorky ass clothes. He looked at me. "First of all, I'm your wake up call, so get up big boy we have stuff to do. Second, what the hell are you doing sleeping out here? Wanted to have a little camp out? Angelus and Cor coulda stopped by and you woulda been dead in two seconds. Pretty careless Harris. Don't do it, again." He didn't say much. He looked a bit out of it.

Damn, he looked really...depressed. I thought B was exaggerating a bit, but she was tellin' the truth. I looked at him and got up. He couldn't be like this and come with us, tonight. If he was like this, he'd be useless. I had to make sure he was together enough, to fight, if he needed to. "Look, I know everything that happened. I'm sorry about what happened to Cor. She was a cool gal. But, the truth is, it happened. You gotta deal man. It's fucked, yeah, but it's life. I don't know what else to tell you." He looked down at the ground. "Come on, get dressed. We gotta meet up with B and Giles at the library. There's some plans we put together and you're on board with us for tonight."

Xander looked up at me and finally, stood up. "You got up. That's progress." I smiled.
