So, it's 11:41 by my computer's clock, and I should be in class. But I'm not. You know why? Because we have a snow day! Yaaaaaaaaaaaay! This has so far meant a leisurely morning of RPing (I am now Ahiru at Drama Drama Duck, and it is much, much fun!), but I know that I'll hate myself if I don't use at least some of this extra time for homework. Because I have a lot of makeup work on account of the fact that I've spent the last two weeks with what I stupidly thought was the common cold. (Turns out that it was only the common cold for a few days. After that, my wonderful immune system felt that it was time to give up and leave me with a rather nasty infection.)
Also, I have recently discovered the true joy of Pokemon. I've been addicted to that damn game for weeks, ever since
kiarasayre and
pauseless forced me to start playing it. I have literally lost sleep over that game, playing it long into the night and sometimes into the morning. I had just decided that I hate that game for sapping my life away and giving nothing back (except for a level 80 Venusaur named Neville) until I told my brother that I was playing. He sounded quite surprised that I would play such a childish game, and then proceeded to tell me about his Pokemon game. We talked for about 10 minutes and he gave me pointers on how to finish the Sevii Islands quest. That's the longest I think I've ever talked to him on the phone. I mean, granted, I could only understand about a third of what he was saying because he MUMBLES so much, but the thought was in it. And now it seems like he almost likes talking with his nerdy older sister. Yay for heartwarming brother-sister Pokemon stories!
Lastly, while I was typing,
kiarasayre mentioned the phrase "hot sex" in relation to the current snowstorm. As in, "It's going to start snowing again tonight? Hot sex!" I have never heard anyone use that phrase to convey a sense of joy before. In fact, I was hitherto unaware that the expression meant anything more than simply, "pleasurable or attractive copulation". Hmmm, fascinating.
