[nodoka is sitting alone in a corner, surrounded by things that would hide her from the outside world. curled up, she has her chin pressed into her knees and her arms wrapped around her legs, trying to pretend as though she doesn't exist.

[Ed is still wandering about with his two blankets held by his one hand around him. He sees Nodoka, frowns at how she's sitting and sits by her, arm on her side, and throws half of the blanket around her and his arm. He stays quiet, not wanting to ask just yet, wondering if this was what 'good parents' would do.]

[moedoka]

[looks up, shocked, but relaxes seeing "ed-mama". she closes her eyes and tries to relax - she doesn't want to worry Lavi-niichan's mama]

[Not looking at her.] You know, you deal with being upset the same way Al did.

[moedoka]

... I-I do?

[i_m_not_short]

[Nods] He'd go run to the river, sit on the bank, and curl up to cry. It used to worry Mom all the time, because she never did find out about it, but I always knew where I could find him.

[moedoka]

I-I see... I-Is he your... Brother?

[i_m_not_short]

[Smiles a little] Yup, he's not so little now, but he's my younger brother.

[moedoka]

I-I see! Y-You... Must miss him..

[i_m_not_short]

Every day, but I know being here would be no good for him.

[moedoka]

I-I suppose... I-I'm sorry, Ed-san...

Hey, don't say stupid stuff like apologies when you didn't do anything, got it? [smiles]

[moedoka]

A-Ah... O-Okay...?

[i_m_not_short]

[Glances at her, frowning a little.] If you wanna cry or take a nap or something, you can. I'll stay here.. you're one of my .. er.. kids. after all.. right?

[moedoka]

[looks at Ed a little helplessly before curling up again - she's obviously crying]

[Wraps the blanket more around her shoulder and uses his teeth to pull his side around -- he was not giving up his warm -- and rocks her a little, feeling a bit awkward.]

[moedoka]

[just stays silent - it's easier not to talk about it, because if she doesn't talk she can lose her mind in other thoughts]
