This just completely frustrated me. All the people I dealt with were nice, but seriously CVS, get your act together.
And here I had just defended you in another post )

They may have run out because it's new and heavily advertised; maybe there's a lot of demand. Or maybe it's so new they don't have it in yet. My old pharmacy had to order mine every month because it was a brand name and they only stocked the generic version. (Yes, strangely, my insurance paid for the brand instead of the generic back then.)

Anyway, I'd go ahead and take in your prescription now, to give them plenty of time to order it. Plus then you'll be a month ahead, so you won't have to worry about running out. :)

You'd think that something highly advertised and sought after would be heavily stocked, but even so, some places run out. It does seem ridiculous that so many places ran out all at once, though.

Also, my insurance won't let me get refills on any of my medications until 25 days after my last one. With my BC, that means I have 3 days to get a new pack. If my pharmacy is ever out, I'm screwed. I'm jealous of you having a doctor who gives you so many free samples, though. ;)

She's a pretty awesome doctor. I'm one of those people who doctor hops when I don't like someone, and I can't recall ever having a single problem with her.

My sister's doctor, on the other hand, is terribly annoying. He's a drug company's wet dream, he always writes prescriptions for expensive name brands when a generic would be just as good. In fact, my sister said she once saw him write a prescription for something, and the pen he was writing it with had the prescription name on it!

God, running out of birth control is horrible. I picked three large fights with my boyfriend within 2 hours of eachother, and cried for 20 minutes in the car after I dropped him off, despite having already made up with him. Never again! I will always be well-stocked on my supplemental hormones!

I hate CVS, if it weren't so close to my house I probably wouldn't go there. It used to be an Eckerd's and I never had a problem there, the staff was nice and everything went smoothly. As soon as it turned into CVS they got a whole new staff which was either extremely unfriendly or a little too friendly, ifyouknowwhatimean. Anyway, I've had them tell me I didn't have refills left on medications in which I clearly did have refills. Or have them say they called my doctor and when I called the doctor to confirm they'd say they'd never been contacted. Ugh, that place is a pain, if you can I'd find another pharmacy.

See, I had never had a problem with them. Minor unavoidable things like them being out of a medication for a day sure, but nothing like this. I just don't understand how two CVSs can have a prescription in their computers, and then it magically deletes itself before it reaches the third. Anyway, my boyfriend has some friends at CVS #2 so we'll still continue to go there, especially since they're 24 hours.

How funny... the dj I listen to in the morning was complaining the other day about how CVS was out of her amazingly common prescription as well. *laugh* I'm suddenly glad I go to a little independant pharmacy.

I've discovered that many pharmacys don't carry the new perscriptions till there is enough demand for them. If you have to order it, they won't order it all the time, they will have to specially order it for you every time. You might talk to your doctor to see if she knows of any pharmacys that *do* carry it.

Bah, how inconvenient. Sounds about right though.
