Why did they even take a delivery order if they had no driver? (unless you placed it online, but even then why did you not get a call?) Also why didn't he come out right away and say there was no driver? What? I am so lost this is kind of bizarre.
Lol what? That's very shitty. Sounds like a massive lack of communication. Glad they credited your gift card back, though. There are some restaurants that pin all the blame on the customer and refuse any kind of refund.
The right thing to do would have been for the manager or another staff member to deliver the orders that had been made/taken and not take any more delivery orders. That's a lot of money to lose just because someone called off and he should have found a way to complete those orders and get them to paying customers.
yep, that was never even brought up. That's what I would have done if I'd been in his shoes, tried everything I could to make it right. but then, I actually care about people, and this store evidently didn't, at least today. My coworkers tell me they've ordered from there the last few weeks and there have been no glaring issues.
I assume that potentially could be a huge liability problem. While they should have a back up for their driver not being in, I can see why the wouldn't send another employee out who might not be covered in the same way the driver was.
Actually did that. and for good measure, posted on PIzza hut's fb wall. I got a response there in 1/2 hour telling me to email corporate with details. Did so.
