If that's all they have left then yeah they'll just put anything with the meal.

They were not the only they had left, so no. It was a case of "this person looks like a girl, therefore I'll give her girl toys".

They ususally ask me based on the name of the toy, not the gender.

One serious WTF moment was when I ordered a Jollibee chicken meal with my daughter and wife and we wanted to get Doraemon toys that they were offering at the time and instead of Doraemon toys they dropped in some random girl dolls for our meals (Not barbie, I don't remember the name). I was really taken aback because the girl doll wasn't on the toy board and Doraemon is about as gender neutral as anything can get!

But I didn't consider it bad service; just wierdness.
