my first thought would have been fury, too. its AWFULLY stupid, even at a dealership, to leave a car running. can we say "lawsuit for a stolen car that was left running by a mechanic"? we can? oh goodie!

I was watching my car like a hawk anyways. This is the ONLY Pontiac/GMC/Saturn dealership in the area. This did nothing to calm my fears of being ripped off by the mechanics.

Not an overreaction IMO. Gas is expensive and ANYONE could have climbed into your car and driven off!

It's not just unsafe but it's just disrespectful to your client to leave their stuff out in the open all exposed/not secure "IDC, I'm done with it now." So in my opinion it's a double whammy for their crap services.

Not only did it waste gas, but it's my understanding that leaving a car idling a long time like that can cause damage. Not to mention the nasty emissions that creates. :/ Everyone already said everything about the possible theft you were facing. Grrr!

I was very itchy afterwords. I even went so far as to take a tissue and start smushing them, but you can never get them all. I found two of them had traveled with me when I got home. I hope it's just that.
