OK so here is the way it went...
I went online to check and see if my direct deposit had cleared the bank yet. I need to keep check at all times on what has cleared the bank and when as I will be moving soon and need to know when it is safe to close the account and how much I have left to do things with. It's pretty typical for services like this to auto renew. I'm sure it's written somewhere in the agreement that you had to mark "I agree" to when you first purchased the product.
Plus you are getting your money back. 5 days is nothing. It has to process through their system. The guy you talked to more than likely doesn't have the authority to cut you a check. I'm pretty sure it all has to go through some sort of process to make sure their customer service people don't start giving out refunds to just anyone (you know.. like themselves, family, or friends).

I just wonder why they would bill so far in advance when I am not due for a renew for a month or more from the time it cleared my bank. I guess I can't get over the "no warning bit".
