Well, I *was* having fun...

I was thrilled to find a tabletop Big Eyes Small Mouth game in town. Okay, it's BESM d20, which has the mechanical grace and coherence of a Sherman Tank made of cotton balls and chicken soup. But, I get to play BESM again.

Just one tiny problem...

We'll call them Lizzy and Rick. They host the game and they're married. I've never met these people, though the GM we know from a local con. They seemed nice, at first. But, they barely play. They just fart around on laptops and drink beer and get their PCs to make out. Which wouldn't be so bad, I guess, except that, up until tonight, we only had 4-5 players. Tonight, we had 7. Lizzy is having her PC wander off to do her own stuff. Rick is getting bitchy because he has a clue to our quest and can't solve it. He keeps thinking it's (clue type A) but the GM tells him it's not and they got into a shouting fight over it.

Meanwhile, the rest of us are trying to bumble along without it and the GM is as well, because Rick is sulking and Lizzy isn't doing much, except finding reasons to avoid doing anything resembling teamwork. Rick isn't even trying to find any new solutions or interact with the party.

I was really looking forward to anime-inspired adventures and now I'm dreading next game's shouting and arguing.
