Short suck!
Disclaimer: I'm not a member of the site in question, just an outside observer. But... if your site is desperately hard up for new members, what should you do?
A) Blame everything on the low quality of the new members, referring to them as "grab-and-dash sorts" who pick up characters just for the shiny, and heavily imply that they will abandon the site without ever posting more than once?
B) Suggest implementing RP and activity requirements, but only for new members, while simultaneously giving existing members a bonus of site currency?
C) Suggest that new members should be given incentive to donate to the site's redesign by making them pay RL money for their first character?
D) ALL OF THE ABOVE???
