Several people suggested I post this, it's great for opinions; and I agree. You don't have to be a prude to make a simple suggestion that maybe things be kept toned down on a pg-13 forum.

As for telling me not to come back, that's a bit rude. I happen to like people on the site just fine. I simply don't agree with the way this situation is handled. And I'm free to talk about it here.

My apologies, but the word 'manwhore' and 'whore' are used often enough that this should NOT be offensive at all. I took it out respectfully, but honestly if the word is going to be used by members to describe their characters...yeah.

Ever notice how people focus on ONE word in your write up just to detract the conversation away from the actual issue? If it's not okay when they do it, then why are you even commenting? That's the issue here. Offensive things in cbox. And for the millionth time (for the people who can't read) it's not offensive to ME personally. Ugh. The whole 'overlook parts of what are written just to argue invalid points' is annoying too.

That's the thing though. You are trying to protect others who don't want your protection. People from the site have said they don't need it. You need to understand when your protection is not wanted.

If it is not offensive to you personally, then there is no need for you to be here ranting. There is no need for any of this.

Yeah, you really have a point there...and it's not that they don't want 'protecting', at all. It's that they wouldn't speak up, and new people who stop by may be turned away from joining. I realize I do this...you're right it's not offensive to me personally. x_x;

Not you. Others. People seem to think that just because someone doesn't speak up about being uncomfortable with a site they're on getting into conversations they find offensive and didn't expect (nor should they have to) to see on a pg-13 chat box, that it means everyone is okay with it going on. Well they're not, and having to see others being made uncomfortable or think about how someone like them might be made uncomfortable and turn away due to seeing it...is not something cool. Sure I tend to get a little carried away when it involves others. Assuming this is me getting offended, having issues with anything is just a bunch of assumptions, period. It's not me. It's about other people, and other potential people.

Well, I'm going to have to say I admire you because you stick up for your friends. Loyalty to friends is something I highly value in a person. 'Manwhore' is not censored, and I've seen that used a few times now. Would you like a screenie? Or is it okay because a man is being called a whore rather than a woman? That's hypocritical too you know. I like the word 'butthurt' though. It's like when you eat an entire can of hot pickled veggies...but that's way off track.

And 'mother****er' and 'bull****' was not censored either. -clicks prt Sc- Would you like to see that too? Anyhow, yeah everyone can be a bit hypocritical and immature. Even me. I'm not trying to offend your friends I have a bad way of not filtering what I write when I do write rants or things like this. I'll try to be more considerate of that in future. In either case, what I said was valid. There wasn't any semi when I know at least one person (not myself) was offended by it, and that means more will be if they see it.

I think I did miss your point...I apologize for that. In future I won't use that word, and if I do feel free to smack me upside the head with a dead fish to remind me. :3 And a bit confused, because it seems that word gets thrown around a lot on sites. But if it offends someone I will not use it.

I'm not sure if you think that putting a blank in the place of the word "whore" is less offensive, but FYI it isn't.
