Tasteless, party of you.
Why would you name/base your character on the book "A Child Called It"? I'm not saying that you shouldn't make a character who suffered harrowing abuse as a child, but I am saying you should at least have the tact and intelligence to pull it off in a fashion that isn't so tasteless.
“Back to the beginning, around age 5 when she returned home from school, her mother grabbed her by the arm and started to scream at her. Of course, tears started to well up in this small child's eyes and she had no idea what she had done wrong. Her mother started to make up excuses and saying she was a bad girl. "You're getting bad grades on your school work! You're a disgrace to my family! HOW DO YOU PLAN TO MAKE IT UP TO ME?!" After storming towards the mirror, she slammed the small child's face against it. "LOOK AT YOURSELF! YOU'RE A HORRIBLE HORRIBLE CHILD! NO, YOU'RE NOT EVEN A CHILD. YOU'RE A THING! YOU'RE A WORTHLESS THING THAT NO ONE COULD EVER LOVE DO YOU UNDERSTAND ME?!" And all she could do was nod and cry. Her brother didn't even dare come into the room for fear of being hurt himself, he was only 15 at the time.
Days after this horrid treatment continued. When It would come home from school she'd get scolded, told she was a horrible child and then sent out to the garage where she would spend her nights, freezing. Soon, her mother wouldn't let her change clothes, she wouldn't let her eat and after a few days of eating she was starting to eat out of the trashcan. Soon, her mother caught her and she got a dose of ammonia for that.”
There is a fine line between inspiration and plagiarism. I think someone might have crossed it.
“"Off to paradise I go.." She said as she stormed out of the room. Going into the garage, she giggled and grabbed her father's tank of gasoline he always kept on hand. She moved into the house and started sloshing it everywhere. Once it was gone, she dropped the can and moved to her parents room. She grabbed her mother's wallet and her father's as well, stealing the money out of them and a few credit cards. She had no idea what to do with them, but she knew she couldn't let them stay here. She managed to hide them in her shirt and she darted down the steps. After grabbing a set of matches, she stood in the front door way and lit one, that psychotic and devilish grin spreading across her face once again. "Good bye forever. I hate you all.." With that, she dropped the match and turned, walking away from that place as it burst into flames. Her mother awoke in the midst of the fire and with no place to get out, she burned to death. With her father's and mother's money, she bought whole new clothes, including her "KTHXBAI" shorts, her teal/blue fishnet stockings, her purple shirt with the thumb holes, her white boots, and managed to make an axe that was 3 times as big as she was.
She's being searched for currently by the police to be tried with 3 counts of murder and 1 count of property destruction. Though, because the police never dealt with her family and all of her photos were burned, they have no idea who they're looking for. Her hair is black with green streaks, length down to her thighs when in a pony tail. If you see her, contact the police immediately, if you can. She probably will hack you in half before you get the chance, and the last thing you'll see, will be the "KTHXBAI" written on the ass of her shorts as she walks away, covered in your blood.”
