It was bad enough when the admin of the last board I was on threatened to delete the board. But you, dear admin of my new board - I think you went and did it! Is there any other reason why I'd be getting "We could not load the forum that you are attempting to access. Please try again later." as an error ( Read more... )

Well . . . if he had up and deleted the forum with no warning whatsoever, then, yeah, I'd say that was kind of sucky.

But it looks like it was an error message and I jumped the gun.

I think I would have waited three days or so before posting this. It's not much of a story as long as it's nothing but fretful speculation without any basis or facts.

Depending on which forum host your admin's using, it might just be server issues or maintenance. That has happened with me several times, and it's better to not jump to conclusions until you have solid evidence, like an actual statement from the administrator or other members of the forum. If it's InvisionFree, I do know a deleted boards link ends up redirecting to the InvisionFree website, however I'm not sure about ProBoards and ZetaBoards.

I do think you jumped the gun, usually an error message like that just means technical difficulties. I could be wrong, but you don't seem to have gathered much intel beyond the error message.
