I really would like to know when "vampire" became synonymous with "Mary-Sue" and "Bad RP." It seems like I can't take my poor character anywhere these days without getting flak for playing a vampire at all.
Yeah, he's a bad guy. Sure, vampire villains are cliche. But he was a bad guy before he was a vampire, selfish and manipulative, so being turned isn't going to change that.

Besides, all these good guy vampires who prance around in the sunlight and believe in the power of love really make me roll my eyes.
