YOU! OMG, you fucking take the cake. I have been nothing but nice to you from the very beginning. I gave you some paid time, and sent you every icon of him I had. Plus, his music that you didn't have. I thought we were friends of a sort. Then you began your abuse ( Read more... )

Chronic Lyme and Babesia here, since 1990 when I had a tick removed from the back of my head by my doctor who then soon retired, undetected for 19 years. My next doc was the "All in your head" type and I switched doctors a year or so later. Last year I got rid of the babesia with free Mepron, and felt loads better (I can sweat now and I have more energy), and am now working on the Lyme. The Lyme expert I went to said that if you have Babesia, you MUST kill it first or you will not get very far treating Lyme.

I only even ever found out about it by a movie called "Under your skin". Then we sent away to the lab in California (Igenex) but the doctors here wouldn't accept the results. The one Infectious Disease specialist said they have contaminated control samples, but provided no proof of such an accusation. I finally found a doctor that could work with the sole Lyme Expert in the area.

The damage to my body was pretty bad; I could no longer do math very well and had to drop subjects in school. Then I got severe muscle pain that never went away. For a long time they thought it was Fibromyalgia. Thing was, my mom got bit by a tick too, around 1987, and she got diagnosed with Fibromyalgia a few years later. So we've both been suffering, though mine was worse because I had babesia and she didn't.

Right now I'm on Plaquenil and Biaxin.

Funny you mentioned that movie. Knew about it for so long, but it was always full up since Lyme is rampant in my state. mom and I are going to see it on the 16th of this month! sorry to hear about your infection. I think I have babesia as well, but I need to check, it could also be erlichia, and since I really have no clue how to spell it outright, I am afraid I will never find the right spelling if I try to go to look it up now. They never found a tick on me, but I think I know when I got bit. glad you finally found a person to treat you, nothing grates on my nerves more then doctor's who won't look into the problem you present.

I am on like 26 odd medications for various issues I incurred due to Lyme. I am glad they found you some kind of help though! I had to learn to read, write, paint, do minor things all over again. I am still not great with writing but I am trying hard to get better.

The thing about Erlichia is, whatever kills Lyme will kill it. But you need antiprotozoan drugs (antimalarials to be exact) to kill Babesia because it's that kind of thing. That's why they say do the Babesia first. Not only do you have to get rid of it first to even get to the Lyme, but the medications themselves can't be used at the same time.

If you have Babesia, there is a way to get your doctor to get Mepron free from the manufacturer. Because that stuff is EXPENSIVE if you have to pay for it yourself.

26 medications? Holy carp. One set of medicines I never really went on was painkillers, despite needing them pretty badly. Didn't want to kill my liver. I did go on a prescription muscle relaxant for a period of time but stopped after I realized my reaction time behind the wheel was crap.

I'll have to talk to my doctor about that. Yeah, and those meds have been scaled down. I had no choice with the pain meds, Fentanyl, Vicodin, and muscle relaxers. I couldn't walk, talk, move, breathe I was in so much pain. I would be found screaming like I was being murdered the pain got so bad. Now, I also take Lyrica for the Fibro. I get regular tests for the liver. Not much I can do about it. I am kind of screwed if I do, screwed if I don't.
