Pardon Me, Here's My Life Story

I figured you guys'd enjoy this. In this game, there's Fighter Girl.
Fighter Girl is unique in lots of ways that squick me, but my favorite one is how she treats her past.
She murdered her parents in a house fire because daddy was abusive and mommy was crazy. Mentally ill. So nobody saved her, so she murdered them.

Now normally I'd understand this as a reasonable thing to do, you go insane from the pain and trauma, you kill someone. I would've spared the mentally ill mother, but still. Whatever.
But for the love of God don't talk about it like it was the evening coffee you had yesterday.
In the middle of town. That's right, smack dab in the middle of the town. She goes on about how they deserved it. She is not even mildly afraid of mentioning it, and is damn proud of murdering her parents.
This is a town where it is in the rules that there are guards everywhere. Police. Officers. Patrolling.
So what does everyone, save myself and my friend do?
Pat her on the back and tell her she did a good thing.

This irks me because my character, who I have had for over two years (i joined this game two weeks ago) has always been abused by her father and any mention of it turns her into a babbling infant. How'sabout that.

tragic past!, ic actions = ic consequences, characterization fail
