Hearing tales of bad players from other people today. So a friend of mine and a friend of theirs are starting up a game together. I'm happy for them since it looks like they'll have fun. Then the keyboard smash worthy moments have started rolling in.
This isn't so much to my friend and their friend but people trying to join the game.
If the mod or mods tell you the position you really want is filled the answer is to not throw a hissy fit at them because your character can't be the king of the mountain. That is likely o alienate them and make them less likely to let you have super awesome things in the future if positions open up.
The answer is instead to not complain. You should instead see if there is anything else you'd like to do in the game and try for that. There is always some cool niche to fill in any game if you try looking after all.
But if all you really wanted was to be king of the mountain maybe joining a game is not the best plan for you. Maybe instead you should run your own game.
