That is NOT Feminism
I've read a lot of rants about super-awesome characters who can never lose a fight. I could personally rant for a good few hours about the same thing, but I won't.
Instead, I'll pick a little part of it that I've not yet seen addressed, but makes my blood boil. I have no particular story for it, as it's happened to me so many times they've all run together, but here we go.
Say there is Character Y. Character Y is male. He can have any variation of a backstory, assume it's well-written. He may be a military guru. A martial arts master of an appropriate age. A prodigy with a certain weapon. For one reason or another, Character Y can kick a fair amount of ass, and reasonably so.
Now, here comes Character X. X is female. She, too, can kick a fair amount of ass, for one reason or another, usually in a similar fashion to Character Y, but not always. Invariably, though, she is younger than Y. Nearly just as often, she's also only just picked up her certain form of badassery over the last few years.
No one is going to argue both X and Y are not to be messed with. At least in my experience, though, Y tends to be older, more experienced, and has been practicing his craft for significantly longer, usually by about 10 years.
Character X and Y will fight. I don't know why, but even if they're on the same side, X will have some kind of stick shoved up her ass so far it makes her cranky and trigger-happy. Hell, it might even just be a fight for dominance. Alpha syndrome isn't exclusive to those with testicles. Either way. X will almost always pick a fight with Y.
... and Y has to lose. Why? Because he has a penis, and if X loses, that would be SEXIST OH NOOOOES D8!!11!!11!!!1!
Now. Let me get this right. To validate your female's badassery (which, by the way, was likely never contested in any serious way iC, and never OoC), she HAS to kick the man's ass. Has to. Or else she's not a badass, and OH NO YOU CAN'T HIT A GIRL ANYWAYYYYY!111!! QQ
I have had players of many a Character X pull this shame shit. The few times I've argued that, no, Y would win-he's simply got more training, more experience, and would, in a fair fight, wipe the floor with your girl-I have gotten reamed.

... no. No, she's not. Guess what? You're not either.
You know what you and X are? Flaming, chauvinistic sexists. Just 'cuz you've got tits doesn't exclude you from that.
A real badass of a woman would get her ass handed to her, and be humbled, but not broken. And, depending on the situation, would maybe look up to the guy who beat her, NOT BECAUSE OF HIS GENITALS, but because of his skill.
But it's women like you (as it's always women, in my experience) that have made me quit playing strong males for the most part. I'll stick to my sniveling cowards, thankyouverymuch.
