Another rant, yes.

You. Yes, YOU.

We are in a pokemon RP, yes. The pokemon can't evolve, yes. You decide to be a house pet eevee, who is really snobby, always disagreeing with my scyther who has a hatred of trainers. That's ubderstandable. They had to find a way to make or steal water bottles. But I tell you now, GETTING A TRAINER TO PET YOU and then stealing the ( Read more... )

whyyyyy not? i can see some instances in which this would work. especially if the trainer wasn't the eevee's owner. i could see an eliteist snob thinking 'oh, this isn't MY trainer, so he's clearly inferior. he deserves to have this stolen.'

or, i could see it in a sense of character development if it was handled properly. the eevee may be trying to rise up to the 'tough' attitude of those around him, and so is acting in a way he normally wouldn't. i think the player should be given a chance to explain the logic behind their actions. just throwing them out because they didn't do it exactly the way you wanted makes YOU come off as the bad RPer...

Yes, this is precisely why I think we don't have the whole story here.

*comment response tango*

hopefully the OP will enlighten us with some more details. because yeah, as it stands, the bad RPer in this post does not look like the eevee's player.

Well, I can definitely agree there are better ways to get water bottles. Not saying that has much bearing either way.

true. but it IS a pokemon RP, and i CAN see a pokemon pulling a fast one on ash & company (or any trainer, for that matter) in that manner. i think it's more plausable than, say, the pokemon holding up a store with their special attacks.

if the choice was 'make or steal waterbottles' and the group straight up decided not to use the 'make' option, this is pretty straightforward.

or if it was a really good group, maybe they should have tried to pressure the eevee into stealing from its own house. which would have been interesting to see play out on various levels.

After all, where do you think Zigzagoon GOES to "pick up" items?

zigzagoon...the secret kleptomaniac of pokemon.

Well yeah. You didn't think he was just finding these things on the road, did you? Nuggets, Super Potions, PP Ups... I'm pretty sure these things don't occur in nature.

Now part of me feels guilty for all the times I've found my zigzagoon holding a nugget...

But the supervillain part of me feels so proud.

Pokemon pulling a fast one on Ash and co. has actually been the plot hook for a couple of episodes, so it makes even more sense.
