The world of RP is rife with bad PB choices. I just found one that might be a first in RP, though - it's a choice that's not only bad, it's been established in canon as such.
To elaborate: in this particular comic universe, there is a well-known scene in which the characters discuss who would play them in a movie. One of these choices actually did end up playing the character on the big screen this summer, much to everyone's amusement and enjoyment.
The character I'm talking about now is Asian. In canon, someone suggested that Lucy Liu could play her. Her reaction: "Oh, naturally. Even though she looks absolutely nothing like me, she'd be great because all Asian people are basically identical, right? Who'd be your back-up choice, General? Bruce Lee?"
Do I really need to spell out who I just saw used as a PB for this character?
When your own character mentions how little they look alike and how offensive your avatar is, you might want to reconsider your choice.
