This video is just heartbreaking

This has already been posted on some other blogs but bears repeating as I don't recall it featuring here. The stories about Tennessee Walking Horses are so shocking, about the pain they endure and the barbaric techniques resorted to both to achieve the exaggerated gait and to have the horses hide their discomfort when they are checked by inspectors, I could barely believe them myself. The video clips of TWH trainer Jackie McConnell at these links show that every word is true.

Warning- this stuff made me cry- but I am sharing it because as I say I could scarely believe what I was hearing originally- so maybe there are some people in denial who could use waking up.
