i think the cross cantering/ridiculousness might have been a little nit picky..... but so am i. that girl couldn't buy a lead change with her last dollar.
the xc schooling was SO SCARY. that horse is gonna tear something jumping corners like that. and i think that last picture is just draw reins and a standing martingale..... why you would NEED those htings concurrently is beyond me.........
eta: sorry i didn't mean to reply to yours!! let the record show this is a general comment.
when that horse basically stepped on that jumped i gasped so loud my boyfriend jumped! and i think there must be more to that rigging than just a standing and draw reins...i thought that too, but i see the standing, plus count SIX reins! wtf...
The owner of the horse in the second video also owns other horses that rear as well. She contradicts herself by saying her horses rear out of nervousness and then says that she trained them to rear.....:/
I think that second horse was probably taught to rear on command and now he just does it whenever he feels like it. The kicking out is probably a sign that her riding hurts him or he has some other underlying pain issue. Whatever the case, it's def not funny or 'cute'.
That horse was uncomfortable before she even got in the saddle and was just preparing to- note the kicking and tail wringing. Something very amiss there but as rearing is soooo coool poor soul probably won't be fixed. Note the vids linked from that one at the same place- all riding like idiots as long as it's jumping big or wide.
