Just doesn't care anymore

This rider used to have a solid position and a very admirable attitude with her horses but I feel like now she just kinda flings things together and puts it up on youtube without a second thought. Her legs slide around all over the place and she jabs her horse in the flanks with her spurs. What makes this bad_riding worthy isn't the fact that her ( Read more... )

Like 2 year old futurities in the stock breeds! What a lame excuse that is. People have overlooked morals for money since the dawn of time.

umm look at racehorses. They are started way to young and have tons of problems that come out of that and its perfectly legal for them to start running at 2!

Please show me. I have never heard of yearling races, anywhere, ever. It's common practice for most TB racehorses to be broken out as late yearlings, though.

Here the TB yesrlings generally get broken and run ... not in the racing part myself but I can see how young they get run 'officially'.

Unofficially horses as young as 1 1/2 will be expected to run.

TBs here share the same birthday - 1st of January, don't know if this is the same for anywhere else, as the racing year starts on 1st of january. This means that even if a TB foal was born in say June he would be classes as '1 years old' on the 1st of Jan despite the foal being only 6 months old.
