O_o My eyes are burning. WTF is up with that white horse? It looks like it's climbing the fence. I'm not even going to comment on the riders.

the only pic here that's bad riding is the 4th one & that's sheer stupidity.

1: parelli/natural horsemanship. you don't HAVE to have a bridle to ride you know. and OMG reins in one hand!!! that's awful, what a crime. maybe she was scratching her ass with the free hand. i don't care.

2. OMG shorts! she's still got a lot of safety equipment on anyway. NOT A BIG DEAL. her stirrup is a bit far down her foot, but that's being picky.

3. beginner. and possibly a lazy horse! least she's grabbing mane, plenty of rein, taking up a (slight) two point. good work.

sorry, see you're a first time poster. i just think some ppl post on here being WAY TOO PICKY with other ppl's riding. there are COUNTLESS examples of truly horrific/dangerous/stupid riding out there. see the post below with the MORONS riding the yearling.

Agree.

I'm personally not big on natural horsemanship but if you're safe, your horse is happy, and you're having fun, then great.

Also, if you want to ride in shorts, great. Just don't cry to ME when your legs are completely torn up from the leathers.

And I can't see the third pic.

The fourth is terrible, abominable. Yikes.

I agree about there being no issue with the halter and such to ride in. I pull out my halter and lead rope to ride with some days for what I call a tune up, helping my horse to respond to softer cues etc. My issue with the picture however, is the womans form. Hunched upper body, stiff back etc. To be honest when I saw the picture I figured the caption would read something along those lines. She looks very tense and nervous to me, not bad_riding necessarily, just maybe not someone who should be teaching.
